“The Deoliwallahs documents” the untold history of over 3000 members of the Chinese Indian community who were interned in Deoli camp, Rajasthan, in the aftermath of the 1962 Sino-India war. The book is a compilation of Joy Ma’s experiences of living in the camp, along with stories of others who were interned and an analysis of the geopolitical context by Dilip D’Souza. This important book provides a rare glimpse into the lives of the Chinese Indian community in India.
